Meet the Team

Laurie’s your girl if there is a problem that needs to be solved. She takes in and listens to all concerns before diffusing the situation. Her years as a journalist have polished her ability to know what questions to ask and what to say to ensure everyone’s happiness.

Her cool and reserved nature mixed with compassion for those she encounters everyday guarantees Laurie never skips a beat. In her capacity at The Hester Group, Laurie serves as our public information specialist for public involvement projects with the Florida Department of Transportation. Laurie said she feels right at home here with more than a decade of marketing, management and public relations experience in the business, public health and public safety sectors.

A native of Mayo, Florida, Laurie graduated from Santa Fe Community College and the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. When she is not working, Laurie spends her time with her daughter, a competitive gymnast and runner. Weather permitting, you can usually find them at the beach – any beach!
