Meet the Team

Laurie has spent several years consulting to the Florida Department of Transportation in public information positions and fluently speaks “Civil Engineering,” a separate language as much as it is a career. She is not timid about suggesting possible solutions to problems, even in technical situations outside her typical areas of expertise, leading coworkers to comment that she should have considered becoming an engineer and describing her as a "jack-of-all-trades."

Laurie is a native Floridian and a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations. This Gator proudly wears the orange and blue, especially during college football season. She occasionally dabbles in martial arts and enjoys traveling, but mostly she loves spending time with her husband, Jeremiah, their baby boy, Ty, and their two dogs. Her future goals include one day speaking reasonably fluent Spanish and learning to sew.
